About Ms. Pardini
Ms. Pardini recently got married and moved to sunny Oxnard with her husband.  She taught 7th Grade Life Science for eight years at Wilson Middle School in Glendale and looks forward to joining the Colina Family.  At Wilson she coached cheerleading, was advisor of the yearbook, and facilitated many clubs and activities.  She hopes to be just as involved at Colina.  Ms. Pardini’s hobbies include dancing, photography, traveling and enjoying the outdoors.  She attended Occidental College, where she received her Bachelors of Science in Geology and minored in Biology.  After spending a year as a camp counselor and director at the YMCA she got her teaching credential at Cal State Los Angeles.  Ms. Pardini has a lot of energy and can’t wait to get to know all of the students at Colina.

a. Call a Study Buddy (at the start of the school year your student should exchange phone numbers with at least two students per class); or
b. Look up the assignment in Zangle ParentConnect (Parent needs to login with parent PIN/ Password.*)

2. Obtain any missed handouts:
a. Prearrange with a Study Buddy that if either of you is absent, the other should pick up an extra set of handouts from the teacher; then you and your parent should arrange (with the family that picked up) for FAXing or pickup of the handouts; or
b. Check teacher's Science folder for make-up work. Then get worksheets from the make-up boxes in the front of the room.

3. Get any explanation you need:
As a Study Buddy for instructions or ask teacher after class.

District policy stipulates that a student has as many days as he/she was absent to make up missed work. However, it is desirable that as much work as possible be done during one's absence.
Homework can be turned in one day late for half credit. Projects lose 10% of the grade per day late.
