Spirit Night is free and open to all Colina Students that have more than 75 points.
Students must come in Blue and White and be ready to show their spirit.
Students that are planning to attend, must attend Spirit Night Practice in the Gym during SURE on Tuesday Nov. 12, Wednesday Nov. 13, and Thursday Nov. 14, 2002. Procedure for SURE Spirit Night Practice. All students must go to SURE everyday for attendance, at this time each teacher can make the determination if they are going to let individual students go.
Cheer loudest for Colina,
but remember that good sportsmanship dictates to clap & cheer for the other schools, too.
When the other schools perform or do their cheer we are supposed to clap and
cheer for them. Booing is never acceptable.

Schedule:

6:00-6:30 pm Decorations (each school gets a corner of the gym).
6:30-6:40 pm Program introduction/welcome.
6:40-6:50 pm School Cheer (each school, all students participate-group cheer).
6:50-7:05 pm Relay races (2)
7:05-7:25pm Student lip sync performance (group of teens; 3-5 minutes each school).
7:25-7:45 pm Tug-a-war (each school, 8 girls & 8 boys).
7:45-7:55 pm School Cheer once again (each school & all students participate).
7:55-8:00 pm Conclusion (trophy presentation).
NOTE: The Teen Center will provide all of the necessary supplies, equipment & refreshments.
NOTE: Schools will be judged on decorations, relays, lip sync and tug-of-war performance, as well as school cheers, organization and overall sportsmanship.
*School sites are responsible for promotion and recruitment.

Here's the scoop...
Spirit Night competition takes place annually at the Teen Center. The competition, which is for grades 7 and 8 only, is slated for Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Teen Center.
Tickets are needed in order for students to be allowed to attend. This is the only time during the year that students from all middle schools come together to show their school spirit. Unfortunately, Spirit Night is limited by the Teen Center, the host, to 175 students. In order to include everyone, there will be a Spirit Rally at Colina during the day of Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007 to showcase Colina's Spirit Cheer, Lip Sync /Dance, and have teachers compete in some relays versus our relay team Tug of War. The vision of the rally is to unify all Colina students through this spirit rally.
For the Nov. 15 Spirit Rally will be having an all school assembly in the afternoon to give our school community a time to show and voice pride in school and bring Spirit Night here for all to enjoy.
We will have a special double-4th period schedule this day. Please follow the schedule listed below. Teachers will lead their classes into the gym and sit in the area with their class. 7th and 8th grade classes will sit in the bleachers until they are full. Classes that do not fit in the bleachers will sit on the floor behind the 6th grade. All 6th grade classes will sit on the floor in the front.
