California STATE PTA Honorary Service Award Program

Funds derived from Honorary Service Awards, Continuing Service Awards, Golden Oaks Service Award, Very Special Person Award, and Donations support the California State PTA scholarship and grant programs.

Grants are available to assist local units, councils, districts and California State PTA commissions and committees to develop and implement parent educaion programs and projects.

Scholarships provide funds to futher various kinds of higher education for graduating high school seniors. Scholarships are also available to teachers.

Since 1965, the California State PTA has awarded more than four million dollars in student loans, scholarships and grants.

Honorary Service Award (HSA) may be given to an individual or organization in special recognition of outstanding service to children and youth.

Continuing Service Award (CSA) may be given to an individual or organization in special recognition for continued service to children and youth.

Golden Oak Service Award may be given to an individual or organization who has made significant contributions to the welfare of children and youth in the school or community.

Very Special Person Award (VSP) may be given by an individual or PTA constituent organization to recognize an individual or group

Donations in any amount may be made to the HSA Program fund by an individual or group to honor one or more persons. In memoriam donations are also accepted. An acknowledgment card or certificate will be sent with a donation of $10.00 or more.
