*ELIGIBILITY: All eighth graders must have 75 points, MUST be passing 5 classes, including both Math and English going into the final week of school and have at least 5 citizenship marks of N" or better as of June 1, 2008 to be eligible to participate in the trip.

*TRANSPORTATION: Buses will leave Colina at approximately 9:20 a.m., and will load at approx. 6:00 p.m. at Magic Mountain for the return trip. They should arrive back at Colina approx. 7:00 p.m. STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR RETURNING TO THEIR ASSIGNED BUS FOR THE RETURN TRIP. THE BUSES WILL NOT WAIT.
COST: $40. The cost includes transportation and admission ticket. Students should plan to bring money for food and drinks, since sack lunches are not allowed in the park. Hats will be allowed.
TICKET SALES: June 2, 2008 through June 6, 2008. Tickets will be sold before school and at lunch time in the Student Store. No ticket will be sold without a completed permission slip. We are requesting cash payments for tickets. If, after the tickets have been purchased, students are unable to attend (due to point totals falling below 75, "U" citizenship grades, unpaid library fines, unserved detentions, suspension, etc.) they will be given a partial refund of $25 (park entrance cost). Any student experiencing financial difficulty may make arrangements with Ms. Hogan to earn the $40 fee.
DRESS: The Magic Mountain dress code for this activity is acceptable school or leisure clothing and shoes. T-shirts with pictures or writing that advertise drug, tobacco, or alcohol or with any type of obscene language are NOT allowed.
PARENT PERMISSION: A Field Trip/Medical Authorization permission form will be sent home with all eligible students. (If you have misplaced the form, you may obtain a duplicate at Colina's main office.) Please sign the Field Trip/Medical Authorization form and return to the Student Store with cash payment no later than end of lunch time on Friday, June 6, 2008.
