| YOUR CAMP EXPERIENCE INCLUDES... • Leadership Activities Handbook - 280 pages • Camp Video - High School Camps & Middle School Camps • CADA/CASL LEADERSHIP CAMP T-shirt • CADA/CASL Leadership Certificate CAMP COUNCILS Campers will be part of a camp council led by a credentialed educator with experience in student activities. OPENERS Campers will learn crowd involvement techniques, new chants, songs, and cheers that will help build spirit at your school. TALENT SHOW All campers are invited to participate in the Camp Talent Show. This extremely popular show features singing, dancing, acting, juggling, skits or any other talent you or your group has. Bring your musical instrument, your music, your dance steps, or drama presentation, or anything else you might need to participate. SPEAKERS - Our speakers for 2005 will motivate and inspire you to reach for the top. Mike Smith, Stu Shaffer and others, will motivate you and introduce you to the effective leadership skills to be learned while at the CADA Leadership Camp. CLASS COMPETITIONS - Campers will compete in spirit building class competition-type activities and learn how to plan, organize and conduct successful and safe contests. GRAND FINALE On the last day of camp we hold a special closing ceremony highlighting the special moments at camp. LEARN LEADERSHIP SKILLS Workshops designed to develop effective leadership skills will be presented at each camp. Topics may include: Positive School Environment Effective Meetings Communication Working with the Advisor Goal Setting Time Management Officer’s Responsibilities Student/Staff Recognition Fundraisers and Finances Proms and Homecoming Community Service Multi-Cultural Activities Publicity Rallies and Assemblies Conflict Management Noon-time Activities Elections Stress Management Challenge Course Activities Substance Abuse Prevention Problem Solving Tobacco Use Prevention Solving campus concerns Diversity Interpersonal skills Environmental Awareness Public Speaking Creative Yearbook Ideas New Games Project Planning Personality Styles SUPERVISION All CADA camps are staffed and supervised by responsible credentialed educators at a minimum ratio of one adult for every twelve students. DANCES - The first evening all campers will have the opportunity to meet others at our opening “Greeter Dance”. A closing farewell dance will be held the last evening. Middle school campers will have one dance due to the length of the middle school camps. |
