        2) The semester grade will be determined by averaging the following:  Each Quarter Grade will equal 42.5% and the comprehensive Final Exam will equal 15% of the semester grade.  The Final Exam will include ALL material covered during each semester.
        3) Very little extra credit will be allowed because the student needs to demonstrate knowledge of the standards and course content to advance to French 2CP.  School Board policy  requires
a C or higher on standards in order to continue to the next level.

HOW PARENTS CAN HELP - SUGGESTED STRATEGIES:
        1) Provide a quiet place for the student to complete homework and study.
        2) Help student study vocabulary by giving the English and student spells back the French.  This is best done daily in short intense periods of study.  Memorization is essential!!
        3) Read and look over the textbook (Things are explained and defined in English).
        4) Consult the student’s agenda of classwork and homework if in doubt as to assignments, or check ParentConnect.
        5) Notify me immediately if you have any questions or concerns concerning your student’s progress.

Credit will be given as follows: FULL if done on time; PARTIAL according to the portion(s) done; ZERO if not done. Partial credit is changed to full if finished by the next day ONLY, and zeroes can be made up for half credit one day late ONLY. HW can be made up for full credit due to illness (as explained below). It will be computed into your grade every 4 - 5 weeks.

For each day thereafter your test score will be lowered by 10%. It is YOUR responsibility to make arrangements with me for your make-up tests. You may do so during the last three-five minutes of class (NOT during the passing period).
